The first thing you’ll notice about the Shure MV6 is that it’s exclusively a USB-C microphone, so there is no XLR output. While this might reduce its flexibility as a recording tool, it makes it more specialized for live-streaming setups.
The MV6 is a cardioid dynamic mic with up to 48 kHz recording, specifically designed to capture speech so its pickup zone will be localized, even without the DSP features active. During sessions, the volume of your voice will vary considerably as you navigate through the ups and downs of the gaming experience.
To compensate for this, the MV6 has an Auto Level Mode to keep your voice at a consistent level throughout. In addition, there is a three-pronged attack of the Digital Popper Stopper feature, the Real-Time Denoiser, and Shure’s Voice Isolation Technology to ensure the intelligibility of your speech for your audience and other players.
Furthermore, the MV6 supports the Shure MOTIV app so you can add more customizations to the microphone signal and monitoring levels. Setting up the MV6 is easy with the included desktop stand and a 1-meter USB cable.
In addition, the high-pass filter will reduce any vibration noise, and you can make in-stream adjustments to your tone or mute your mic at any stage.
