For the construction of the headphones, sE Electronics has chosen to bolster the frame with glass-fiber and spring steel. This ensures that the KLS 150 is not only light when worn, but is also very durable and ready for years of daily use in your studio. With the dual-shell earcup design, the KLS 150 provides superb passive isolation, so the headphone bleed is kept to an absolute minimum.
Furthermore, the leatherette earpads and padded headband ensure comfort throughout extended hours of use, with a foldable, swivel design that makes them easy to store and transport. Equipped with custom 40 mm drivers, the KLS 150 provides a balanced sonic profile with precise bass response for reliable monitoring in almost any situation.
One of the most interesting features by far is the bass controls, located under the shell covers of both the left and right earpieces. This passive acoustic adjustment shelf lets you boost or attenuate the low-end by 5 dB, so you can set the headphones up for your clients’ personal preferences for tracking, or your own.
Overall, the KLS 150 uses an interesting design that lets you customize the profile for music production, tracking, or even DJing and is bound to appeal to a wide range of users. Aside from the drawstring carrying pouch, the KLS 150 headphones also ship with a 3.5 mm cable with a locking connector design, a 6.35 mm adapter, and a USB-C adapter for mobile devices.
