The new Roland TD-07DMK2 and TD-07KV2 provide the ideal platform for beginners and players switching from acoustic kits, with an integrated coach mode.
Roland has unveiled two new TD-07 kits within the more affordable end of its prestigious V-Drums range, perfect for building your skills as a drummer, featuring upgraded hardware and new practice features.
Roland TD-07DMK2 and TD-07KV2
Now the most affordable option in this newly revamped TD-07 series, the TD-07DMK2 is a compact five-piece kit that suits situations where space is in short supply. For upgrading your setup with a second crash cymbal at a later stage, the TD-07DMK2 has an extra cymbal arm, which offers a little extra expansion.
Meanwhile, the TD-07KV2 is also a five-piece kit that comes standard with slightly larger pads and two crash cymbals, offering a playing experience that will suit intermediate to more advanced drummers. With larger pads, you’ve got more room to move, encouraging experimentation and exploring more elaborate fills.
Both the TD-07DMK2 and TD-07KV2 include V-Drums 3 snare and tom pads with the latest sensing technology and responsive triggering. Also, they ship with a standalone KD-10 kick pad that supports single or double kick pedals with an organic feel. A portion of the drum rack components are pre-installed for an easy setup, too, and the larger central pipe design lets you upgrade to the V-Drums Quiet Design KDQ-8 kick drum pad for reduced noise.
The TD-07 sound module is central to both kits, providing a fluid workflow and a wide range of professional-grade drum sounds with built-in Bluetooth that allows you to stream practice songs from mobile devices. The included tools to develop your drumming skills are impressive, too, with exercises in the upgraded coach mode and lessons within the Drum Pass bundle.
