Polyend is a quirky company. (Or is that a QWERTY company?) The Polish outfit does things its own way, as the recent Keys MIDI computer keyboard testifies to. It follows then that Polyend’s effects line would be unique as well, and that it is, with Endless, an AI-powered open effects box, leading the way. Now you can add Loop to that stable, a looper with a little more up its sleeve than the usual tempo-synced sample capture.
Polyend Loop: “An Idea Machine for Musicians”
Announced today, Polyend Loop is a hardware effects pedal in the same form factor as some of its recent offerings like MESS. Although the name gives away what it does (that would be loop things), the company is quick to point out that it’s really “an idea machine for musicians.” So what’s that about?
Let’s start with the looping. The stomp box gives you four independent tracks of looping, either mono or stereo, and they all stay synced to the selected tempo. You can loop live – with the stereo input letting you capture a single stereo signal or two mono ones simultaneously – or load in loops from a microSD. There’s forward, reverse and ping-pong playback, and those loops can function as tempo-synchronized or free length.
There’s also a Varispeed mode, which ties loop speed and pitch to tempo changes, but drum pitch remains unchanged.
Polyend Loop: Rhythm Patterns and Effects
And that brings us to the drum machine section. More than just your usual looper, Loop also includes a built-in four-track drum machine. Polyend has included 500-plus drum kits, 350-plus beat patterns, more than 2000 drum samples and north of 180 loops to play with. More than just a preset rhythm machine, you can program your own rhythms and also sample percussion directly into the hardware.
This sounds a lot like Step, Polyend’s foot-controlled drum machine for guitarists and buskers.
You also get effects in Polyend Loop. There are more than 100 to choose from, with Polyend highlighting reverbs, delays, modulation, distortion and filters.
Each loop track has access to one effect. As with the loops and drums, effects are synchronized to tempo.
Polyend Loop: Putting it All Together
Once you have your loops running with a beat and effects, you can save it into one of 1000 scenes. There are also bar-quantized project changes for arranging song sections. Additionally, you can export loop tracks as individual WAV files via the microSD card for use in your DAW.
Polyend Loop: Connectivity
As mentioned before, Loop offers both stereo and simultaneous dual mono audio capture via the single stereo in port. Aimed at guitarists, vocalists and electronic musicians, the machine accepts instrument, line level and dynamic microphone sources.
Loop also boasts stereo left and right out, TRS MIDI in and out and USB MIDI with clock, transport, CC and program change, an expression pedal port and microSD slot.

Polyend Loop: An Honest Opinion
Loop looks like another fun product from Polyend. I’ve long been thinking about grabbing a looper for live ambient music. I love the idea of tempo-synced effects, although having more than one per channel would be cool.
Loop and sample import/export via the microSD card is kind of a disappointment. It’s already got USB-C – why not just handle it this way, with saving to the card a separate action? I haven’t tried it out, so I can’t say how it works in practice, but having to stop what you’re doing, remove a card, open it on your computer, etc., is not the most exciting workflow for 2026.
