The Jackson Pro Series Signature Chris Rörland SL7 Soloist is a 7-string, blacked-out shred machine with a Floyd Rose 1000 locking trem system and a 26.5″ scale length. That extra inch gives it the edge with the low E string and makes it perfect for deeper, lower tunings.
If you need a 7-string with a locking trem, then this could be one to check out. Especially if you just want a black guitar.
Through-Neck
The three-piece maple through-neck adds sustain and tone to this signature model, which I would guess will resonate beautifully with high-gain settings and help keep things sounding tight. It also has carbon fiber reinforcement, a compound radius 12-16-inch ebony fretboard, 24 frets, and Luminlay side dots.
The Soloist-shaped body is made using Nyatoh and has a single-ply white binding around the edge, finished in Satin Black.

EMG
This one comes with a pair of active EMG pickups: the EMG 81-7H in the bridge position and an EMG 85-7H in the neck. Rörland has also moved the controls out of the way so they don’t interfere with his soloing, so it has a single volume knob, plus a three-way toggle switch in more usable positions for him.
Down-Tuned Fun
Beyond the basic specs, it has a Stratocaster-style jack plate on the front (as Chris says, he doesn’t break guitar cables), an enlarged Jackson logo on the reverse headstock, a set of Jackson sealed die-cast tuners, and a gig bag included.
It looks like a fun guitar to play and covers the basics for modern metal, if you need a locking trem and 7-strings.
