Kieran Foster was known and loved within the online electronic music production community through his work under his aliases illformed, dblue, and MaDHaTTeR and as a key developer and contributor behind the Renoise software platform.

The dblue Glitch plugin was first launched back in 2005 and presented a unique approach to multi-effects processing that combined pattern sequencing and effects triggering in an organic and fun way that was particularly interesting to electronic music producers. Glitch² allows you to slice and mangle sounds to build new rhythmic textures using a range of exciting tools.
The multi-lane sequencer lets you introduce multiple effects at once across a timing grid which is synced to your DAW. This gives you the power to turn a rather static drum loop into an evolving and expressive rhythm pattern with far more character and movement. With each instance of Glitch², you can have up to 128 effect patterns called Scenes, and trigger them via MIDI.
This is ideal for making micro changes to any element in a track throughout its duration, creating that journey-like feel needed in so many styles of electronic music. Within the range of processing modules, you’ll find Tape Stop, Retrigger, Reverser, Modulator, Shuffler, Gater, Stretcher, Lo-Fi, Distortion, and Delay, so you have a wide scope of sonic potential to explore.
Meanwhile, the intelligent randomizer feature makes live parameter alterations, resulting in uniquely musical chaos, and the filter, pan, volume, and wet/dry mix can be controlled per-module or globally.
