The new Headrush FRFR Cab series launches with two models that differ in size and power: The compact FRFR-8 CAB delivers a peak output of 480 watts, making it ideal for practice sessions, smaller rehearsal rooms, or as a space-saving solution for on-the-go use. The larger FRFR-12 CAB, with a peak output of 750 watts, significantly increases power and simply delivers more.
Custom Drivers
HeadRush employs a classic amp-cabinet design, giving it a familiar look. A custom-designed woofer and a 1″ compression driver deliver clear and balanced sound reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum. This is complemented by a 90° cone horn, which ensures even sound distribution throughout the room.
Baxandall EQ
The Headrush FRFR CAB series features a top-accessible 3-band Baxandall EQ and a useful high-cut filter for familiar, amp-like operation. An XLR/TRS combo input allows for easy connection of modeling pedals and processing units. An additional XLR line output simplifies integration into a PA system.
A road-ready design with a closed wooden cabinet and an integrated kickstand rounds off the positive impression. The only downside is the FRFR-12 CAB’s stated weight of 18.5 kg, which is quite substantial.
Bluetooth
Both models also feature integrated Bluetooth 5.3 audio. This means the speakers can be used not only for classic instrument sound, but also for practicing, rehearsing, or playing backing tracks and other instrumental music.
The guitar amp-like aesthetic and styling look a lot nicer than previous models, and the specifications for both units are perfect for the job.
Price & Availability
The new Headrush FRFR CAB series is impressive. While the market is highly competitive, Headrush users and many others are sure to enjoy these CABS. Prices start at $399/£283/€329.
