Overdrive 11
The Lovepedal Overdrive 11 is the latest tube-powered overdrive from this boutique pedal company and uses a 12AX7 tube to do the work. The circuit runs on 9 to 18V and offers what they describe as touch-sensitive drive tones.
A pure, simple design that should respond to your playing dynamics and your guitar volume control.
Beyond Zen
Lovepedal is best known for its Hermida Zendrive pedal, so this latest tube-based drive has got a lot of players talking about it since it was announced. This company has a solid reputation for making quality effects, so I’m looking forward to hearing what players think of it once it is out.

Controls
This tube-driven circuit comes with a simple control layout with Drive, Bass, Treble, and Level knobs, so it should be simple to use. If you enjoy organic tube tones, it could be one to check out.
It is currently available for pre-order and offers introductory pricing at launch. It will be $350 as standard, but the pre-order price is $248.49.
OCD’Lux
The Fulltone OCD’Lux is another boutique overdrive announcement this week. This one essentially melds two OCD pedals with their own dedicated input and output jacks into one combined overdrive pedal.
The OCD is a pedal that has been ripped off by so many cheap copies, and it has a place in pedal history as one of the best-selling boutique drive pedals of its era. This new version has four voices to play with, so it gives layers even more options.

Four Voices
It combines two sides: V1, the original Vintage (original OCD), and new Raw (less compressed, more aggressive) settings. Then there is the V2 side with a Class A JFET input stage and the added GE with germanium diodes side. The latter two are available as standard pedals currently in the Fulltone lineup.
Enhanced Bypass
The order can be reversed internally, and it has the new Enhanced Bypass circuit (better for longer cable lengths). Users can also set it to True Bypass via an internal switch. It will also run from 9–18V DC.
Priced at $299, it is also currently a pre-order. It should be available to dealers in the near future.
Blackboard Outlaw Overdrive
Jade Electric Pedals has just released the Blackboard Outlaw Overdrive, and it offers a circuit with soft-clipping to give it a great feel that responds to your playing. The pedal has Level, Blend, Drive, Treble, and Bass controls, so there is plenty to tweak.

Clean Blend
Having the clean blend allows players to dial in more of the guitar signal unaffected by drive, and the two-band EQ lets them sculpt the drive tone to taste. It is a true bypass design and will only run from an external power supply.
Price
The Jade Electric Pedals Blackboard Outlaw Overdrive costs $175.00 and is available directly from their site.
