EarthQuaker Devices has just released the Plumes Jr. and Blumes Jr. Mod as a limited run with an added MOSFET option for extra drive tones.

MOSFET
These are both limited-run EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Jr. and Blumes Jr. Mod in the smaller enclosures and with an added MOSFET option. The two pedals cover guitar (Plumes) and bass/synth (Blumes) and now have a three-way toggle with three drive modes, including the new MOSFET stage.
This adds to the standard LED clipping and Non-clipping mode, which uses an op-amp, standard on the full-sized versions of these two stompboxes. The MOSFET replaces the usual silicon clipping, and instead offers what is described as a more dynamic response with a richer drive tone.
If you want one, keep in mind the run won’t last forever. They look good and could be perfect for many players who like compact pedals. I would recommend checking out the official demo video from EarthQuaker Devices to hear them in action.

Mini But Mighty
Even though both pedals are dinky, they retain the standard control layouts of Level, Gain, and Tone knobs. Then a three-way mini-toggle switch chooses which mode you want for clipping: LED, op-amp, or MOSFET.
Perfect for Tone Chasers?
I would guess these will appeal to anyone who chases drive tones and who appreciates a compact pedal format. The fact that EQD has both the Plume and Blumes in this format is great, as it caters to guitarists and bass players, etc. Plus, the Blumes should also work well with synths and low-tuned guitars, including baritone guitar.

Availability
The new EQD Plumes Jr. and Blumes Jr. pedals are available at Thomann and Sweetwater.
