Deals of the Week: Offers from Arturia, Zoom, and PreSonus!

In this edition of Deals of the Week, you can find offers on synths and recording gear from respected brands like Arturia, Zoom, and PreSonus.

With the holiday season right around the corner, it’s just the right time to start thinking about adding to the creative capabilities of your home studio. We’ve selected some exciting offers, ranging from sound creation tools to mixers for signal routing and studio monitors to ensure your mixes always translate onto other sound systems.

Deals of the Week: Arturia MiniFreak (10% Off)

With its algorithmic sound generation engine and analog state-variable filter, the MiniFreak offers a powerful combination of analog and digital. While it’s a single-layer 6-voice polyphonic synth, the MiniFreak offers the versatility of over 30 different oscillator modes, including Virtual Analog, FM, Granular, and Additive engines designed by Arturia, Mutable Instruments, and Noise Engineering.

There are several ways you can use the two sound engines, as the 2nd one can become a processor for the signal from the 1st, using algorithms like Multifilter, Waveshaper, Resonator, and Destroyer. In addition, paraphonic layering allows you to divide the six synth voices so you can play different synth engines with different notes.

The MiniFreak is also equipped with a powerful 7×13 mod matrix with sources like cycling envelope, two LFOs, and polyphonic aftertouch (exclusive to the 37-key model), as well as a built-in three-slot effects section with 13 effects including vocoder, delay, chorus, distortion, and unison.

The LiveTrak L6 offers compatibility across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices, so you have a range of possibilities in terms of how you can configure your setup.

What’s more, the casing is actually Eurorack compatible, so you can install it into your modular synth rig and make use of the 3.5 mm MIDI I/O to sync the delay and echo effects to the BPM. Deals of the Week: PreSonus Sceptre Studio Monitors (Up to 50% Off Clearance)

Now discontinued, the PreSonus premium range of Sceptre studio monitors is going at clearance pricing of up to 50% off. Available in 6.5-inch and 8-inch sizes, the PreSonus Sceptre uses a two-way coaxial design, created with Fulcrum Acoustic’s Dave Gunness. Besides precise time alignment, the Sceptre series offers a characteristically wide stereo image and a large sweet spot for easy positioning in any room.

The dual-core 32-bit 96 kHz Fulcrum Acoustic TQ DSP system uses Temporal EQ algorithms with FIR filters that adjust any frequency anomalies and horn reflections for uncompromisingly neutral response, especially in the midrange. While both models are powered by 180W Class-D amps, the S6 uses a crossover at 2.2 kHz, and the S8’s is at 2.4 kHz.

On the rear panel, there is an Acoustic Space filter to attenuate low-frequency reflections caused by proximity, as well as a high-frequency control to adjust brightness, and a high-pass filter for pairing the Sceptre series with a subwoofer. Overall, the Spectre series provides far more depth than you’d expect from two-way monitors this size. Only available while stocks last!
