Moog Messenger on Sale: Save on the Next-Generation Analog Monosynth!
The Messenger (read our review here) marked the beginning of a new era for Moog. The compact analog synth has everything that makes a Moog a Moog, such as dual analog VCOs with continuously variable waveshapes and the classic ladder filter. Beyond the indispensable ingredients of the Moog sound, however, the Messenger expands the sonic horizon with new elements like hybrid wavefolders, additional filter modes, resonance bass compensation, and loopable envelopes. This means that this little beast can deliver sounds no other Moog is capable of.
Also included is a versatile 64-step sequencer and arpeggiator, which makes the Messenger an excellent addition to any modern groove setup. It also pairs beautifully with a modular system and analog groove boxes thanks to CV/gate and clock inputs and outputs.
Thomann has just reduced the price of the Messenger by 10%. That’s an excellent opportunity to add this little gem of an analog synth to your arsenal!
The Moog Messenger is currently 10% off at Thomann*.
SSL 1 and SSL 2+ MKII: High-Quality Desktop Audio Interfaces on Sale!
If you’ve been eyeing SSL’s compact USB desktop audio interfaces, now is a great time to upgrade your home studio! Sweetwater has some excellent deals on the entry-level SSL 1 and the more advanced SSL 2+ MKII.
Offering two inputs, one for a microphone and one for a guitar or a line-level source, the SSL 1 is perfect for singer-songwriters, content creators, and producing music in your bedroom. Despite its compact size, the interface packs professional features, such as a high-quality SSL mic preamp with an emulation of the legendary 4000 series consoles, 32-bit/192kHz converters, and a powerful headphone amplifier. It’s also got a nice big monitor volume knob, which certainly beats adjusting the level with your mouse. The SSL 1 is currently on sale at Sweetwater* for just $129.99.
The SSL 2+ MKII also has two input channels, but here, both are equipped with mic preamps (including the SSL 4K emulation) and can take microphone, instrument, or line signals. This means you can easily record two mics at the same time and make stereo recordings. This interface also offers a second pair of line outputs, which is great for connecting a second set of monitors, making a separate monitor mix for performers, or sending signals through external effects. You also get a second headphone output with independent volume control. The SSL 2+ is $50 off at Sweetwater* until the end of this year.
