With D16 Group Echolite, you get a free delay plugin for your DAW, capable of producing modern and classic echo sounds for any style of music.
Not every DAW comes with a great delay plugin, and even the best stock plugins don’t always sound as good as D16 Group’s algorithms. The Polish developer celebrates its 20th year in business this year, and what better way to do it than to share some of that D16 magic with you.

Whether you’re an experienced producer or a complete beginner, a decent delay plugin will always come in handy, especially one with an intuitive interface that is capable of a wide range of sounds. The Echolite control set is simple enough to dive into without having to reach for the manual, and the lockable wet/dry control makes it easy to use as a channel insert or aux send effect.
When this control is locked, it allows you to flip through the presets and retain that magical delay setting you spent ages blending to perfection. Naturally, the most prominent control is the delay time knob, which ranges from 0.1 – 400 ms, giving you all the range you need to create doubling and slap-back effects, as well as longer evolving delays.
For giving the processed signal some room to breathe, there is a pre-delay function, ideal for preventing clutter and mud in the mix. In addition, you can set the time grid to dotted, triplet, or whole notes to create rhythmic delays that become part of the original sound. While the stereo spread gives you the ability to send the delay to different areas of the stereo image, one of the most useful sound-shaping tools is the multimode filter.
Here, you can choose between 12 and 24 dB per octave filter slopes, and a range of shapes including low pass, high pass, band pass, and band reject. This allows you to shape the high frequencies to create authentic tape echo effects, or you can gradually open or close the filter using automation for transitions and drops that add movement and excitement to your tracks.
