Córdoba reveals the Fusion Orchestra CE Pro
Let me put it this way: While the name “Fusion Orchestra CE Pro” sounds a little more like a new compressor or reverb than a classical guitar, that shouldn’t stop us from marveling at this new piece of guitar craftsmanship. After all, the Fusion Orchestra CE Pro masterfully bridges the gap between the classic flamenco guitar and modern innovations.
This model features an Orchestra body shape with a cutaway, making the high frets effortless to reach. Only the finest tonewoods are used: the top is American red cedar, the bracing is Sitka spruce, and the back and sides are made of solid rosewood.
For the mahogany neck, Córdoba has opted for a “C” profile, with an ebony fingerboard with 19 frets on top of. The open headstock is also made of rosewood. In terms of dimensions, the scale length is 26.6″ and the fingerboard radius is 16″.
Elegant Looks
Of course, the Fusion Orchestra Pro looks like a traditional nylon classical guitar at first glance, but a few details reveal just how much effort the manufacturer has put into its development. For instance, the neck joint is designed in the Spanish style, which provides greater stability and resonance.
Add to that the rosewood bridge with a bone inlay, the Córdoba Flower Petal tuners, and the checkered multi-ring rosette: this guitar really makes quite an impression!
Fishman Matrix
Also new in this version: the pickup system. While the CE version used Fishman’s Presys Blend, the manufacturer has switched to the Matrix Infinity VT model for this new version.
This should result in another significant sonic improvement for playing in stage through a PA.
How much does the Fusion Orchestra CE Pro from Córdoba cost?
The Fusion Orchestra CE Pro is now available for pre-order at Thomann* and Sweetwater*, and it comes with a humidified hard-shell case . However, delivery is still estimated to take several months.
